"Our worst fear is not that we are inadequate, our deepest fear is that we are powerful beyond measure. It is our light, not our darkness that most frightens us. We ask ourselves, 'Who am I to be so brilliant, gorgeous, talented and fabulous?' Actually, who are we not to be? You are a child of God: Your playing small doesn't serve the world. There is nothing enlightening about shrinking so that other people won't feel insecure around you. We were born to make manifest the glory of God within us. It is not just in some of us, it is in everyone and as we let our own light shine, we unconsciously give other people permission to do the same. As we are liberated from our own fear, our presence automatically liberates others."

It's A Miracle...
"There are two ways to live your life. One is as though nothing is a miracle. The other is as though everything is a miracle." ~Albert Einstein
I choose the latter. I am exhausted tonight, but I am truly thankful for all of my miracles. It's a miracle that we completed our school work, I ran all of my errands, made a real dinner, played soccer with my boys, did three loads of laundry (even though I only put away two of them), washed dishes, took the boys to the movies and still got everyone in bed on time. I am so thankful, that I just made a pan of brownies to celebrate. [Yes, I know what time it is.] And it's gonna be a miracle if I don't eat the entire pan by myself ..... that may be the biggest miracle of them all! : 0 )
*Choose to be positive. Your life might be jammed pack, exhausting and maybe even frustrating sometimes, but the alternative is that it could be empty. See the miracles.

A Month of Black History: Day 29
This is our last day of A Month of Black History. I hope that you have learned something new or were reminded of something that you forgot. I know that I did. Too often we walk through life consumed with ourselves...not thinking of those whose contributions of inventions, thoughts, accomplishments, blood, sweat and tears have built or brightened the paths that we all now walk. This world is bigger than the small space that we as individuals take up. We have to make this world better for those with us and after us. The only way to do that is to keep hoping, dreaming and believing. Yes, it sounds like lyrics for a new save the world song, but it's true. So, I felt that the final post of this series should lead us into the new month with a challenge to make life better and more beautiful....
"In a world filled with hate, we must still dare to hope. In a world filled with anger, we must still dare to comfort. In a world filled with despair, we must still dare to dream. And in a world filled with distrust, we must still dare to believe."
~Michael Jackson~
Are you up to the challenge?

A Month of Black History: Day 28
"We must develop and maintain the capacity to forgive. He who is devoid of the power to forgive is devoid of the power to love. There is some good in the worst of us and some evil in the best of us. When we discover this, we are less prone to hate our enemies."
